Saturday, March 28th, Open House
Just some more pictures of the many wonderful treasures that The Brick Basment has to offer. Each and every vendor is unique and eclectic. You will always find something that suits your fancy..
Well, I know I should of posted this on Saturday night, but my hubby had my computer with him on his business trip so I couldn't. Darn him....Well anyways, Jenny and I attended the Open House at The Brick Basement. It was a wonderful turnout. Great food, great prizes, and wonderful people. It gave us a chance to meet our neighbors and to talk to them about having a space at The Brick Basement. Below are some pictures of The Brick Basement.
The vendors put so much effort into each of their spaces. They're all one of a kind.
Notice the hopscotch on the hard wood floor. The Brick Basement has the floor covered in neat and cute different paintings. Very unique.
This space is what I like to call The Paris Lady. It is just right next to ours and I always love what she has. What a wonderful women she is too. It was a pleasure meeting her and I look forward to seeing her again, and of course seeing what other Paris stuff she might have for me...She also handmakes all of her aprons, and boy are they cute.

Fun & Chic
My hubby is on a business trip so that means I can finish up some of my craft projects I have been working on. I love decoupaging. It's easy, fun and cheap, with endless possibilities. Here is what you will need
Arrange them how you want. Completely coat the back of the picture with your decoupage medium. You should also put a thin layer of glue in the area where you are sticking the picture.
Stick the picture on the canvas. Use your finger to gently push down the picture (for a large picture, start from the center and work your way out) and push out any wrinkles and excess glue. You can also use a Popsicle stick for smoothing
Continue with that process until all your pictures are on the canvas and you have the look that you want. Make sure all the picture edges are glued down completely. You don't want them to peel off.
Let that dry for a bit.
Now, with the distress ink, lightly glide it over your pictures, the sides of your canvas board and so fourth. Do as much or as little as you want. This really does make your project looked aged.
Let that dry. Now it's time to seal it. I use a spray sealer. Just lightly spray the sealer all over the canvas and the pictures. This will protect it.
Now you have yourself a beautiful work of art to hang on your wall.

Our Space:
2 Shabby Friends is up and running at The Brick Basement in Fullerton, CA. My friend Jenny and I are having a lot of fun treasure hunting and decorating. Each week we will feature new and exciting treasures we are offering. This week, I found a beautiful antique cupboard found at an old German Farmhouse in Germany. It's from 1910 and all the handles are original. The person who I bought it from said originally it was used as a shoe cabinet. The lower drawer has a 2 compartment separator that was used for brushes and cleaning supplies for your shoes. Today, it can be used for just about anything. It's small and quint and perfect for a country, antique home.
THE BRICK BASEMENT
This antique depot is just fabulous. Vendors bring in new vintage finds almost every day and there is almost always something that we can (hardly) live without! Vendors really put a lot of thought and detail into their spaces here. It makes shopping so much fun!
Hopefully, we will be posting pictures every week of our space with new finds and treasures. Below are some pictures of our space now. We have antique treasures, shabby linens, beautiful cottage decor, Shabby chic lighting, crystal drawer knobs, gorgeous quilts and bedding, and just about anything girly.
Easter is fast approaching us and I have some handmade charming Easter bags. Thanks to my wonderful sister Robyn, who can sew her heart out all day. These bags are a great alternative to those plain old wicker baskets. Fill them up with Easter eggs, candy, and cute little bunnies and you have yourself an elegant Easter gift.
Jenny and I are very excited to see what comes next for us. Keep checking back on updates and new treasures. Till next time!
